Team Rune Mage Studio is comprised of 3 people new to game development. This is both our first game, and first ever project.

Umbra Vitae uses point and click for operation.
The game has two primary phases.
Phase one in which you confront the shadow and convince it to work with you rather than against you.
The second phase, which you begin to experiment with alchemy to work towards solutions which the shadows will need later to resolve their trauma.
Please note - Any combinations using duplicate items or not including water will fail immediately. There also are a few secret combinations which you can try.
While this is a workable alpha, we plan to continue development of this into regardless of the Jam results and make it to a full game.
Also for Thor - you should combine salt, acid, and water. ;)
In the next few days we'll have the Rune Mage Studio website up and running, and you'll be able to track our progress there!
Once a more complete alpha is ready, we'll update the itch.io submission as well!
